Erickson: I'm never voting for Trump

By Nick Gass

02/22/16 07:50 AM EST

Erick Erickson will no longer support Donald Trump if he is the Republican presidential nominee, the conservative pundit declared on Monday, citing in particular the Manhattan businessman's support of Planned Parenthood.

"I have become convinced that Donald Trump’s pro-life conversion is a conversion of convenience," he wrote in a post on his website, The Resurgent. "Life is the foremost cause in how I vote. Therefore I will not be voting for Donald Trump at all. Ever."

Erickson had previously written and stated that he would support the Republican nominee, even if it is Trump. Following Trump's resounding victory in South Carolina, the radio host's reasoning had changed.

"If Trump were elected President, there would be members of the pro-life movement who would compromise their convictions for access to power," he opined. "If Trump were elected, portions of the conservative movement would compromise the movement to be one degree from Donald Trump. The intellectual institutions on which we have made our case for limited government and freedom would crumble."

In a post published Jan. 6, Erickson urged the Republican establishment to coalesce behind Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who finished a distant second to Trump and barely ahead of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in South Carolina. Rejecting the notion that Republicans must rally to the nominee regardless of who it is, Erickson went on to write that he knows "for certain a large number of Trump supporters will not rally to a Cuban," alluding to both Rubio and Cruz.

"I will not rally to Trump. Frankly, if Trump is able to get the nomination, the Republican Party will cease to be the party in which I served as an elected official," Erickson said in Monday's post.

Rush Limbaugh's occasional substitute host, Erick Erickson, well established Establishment Romney-grade cuckservative, in yet another pearl-clutching show of shameless GOP-pandering, has declared he "will never vote for Trump". Which is to say he will be helping the Butcher Of Benghazi and the premier champion of slaughtering unborn children, ever.

Erickson's irrational pretense: to stop abortion.

In an even more despicable act, by another Establishment Media controlled fraud, of wholesale support for a GOP brokered convention, Limbaugh has endorsed his partner's depraved act of GOP suicide, with his deafening silence.

We again call on all radio affiliates associated with the Limbaugh show to immediately end broadcasting Limbaugh's lies against Trump, in his fraudulent attempt to deny the will of the millions of conservatives supporting Trump, by keeping Trump from winning the 1237 delegates necessary to prevent a GOP broker convention, where everyone agrees: the GOP will select anyone but Trump. Limbaugh knows Cruz cannot win 1237, and cannot win at a GOP convention.
